Weather & Other Public Emergencies

Liberty County Emergency Management Agency (LCEMA) is the local, community-based equivalent of the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) at the State level and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at the Federal level. We work closely with these agencies (as well as dozens of others, both public and private) before, during, and after emergencies and disasters to provide coordinated and comprehensive protection of lives and property. This is accomplished by providing community-wide leadership, guidance, support, and coordination in the area of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
